Field Training* Grayfire Weimaraners field training employs the kindest, gentlest training methods concentrating on fully developing the dog’s potential through the use of positive reinforcement of its natural abilities. Our methods produce classy, stylish bird dogs that live up to their individual potential. We offer several training options (see below) for your consideration. Whichever training option you ultimately choose, your first visit will be an evaluation session. Cost is $45.00 including birds. At the conclusion of the evaluation session, we will discuss our perception of your dog’s potential so you may choose which course of field training best suits your schedule and financial situation. Before you bring your dog to us, PLEASE train it to come when it’s called, every time it’s called, no matter what distractions there may be at the moment. A dog that won’t come when it’s called, or that comes when it feels like it, is an accident waiting to happen. If you elect to leave your dog with us to have us train it, be assured that your dog will be cared for with the same concern for its health and well being as our own personal dogs. We feed a high quality kibble and will do our utmost to comply with any requests to feed supplements/medications you may bring with the dog. For dogs boarded with us, all training fees are payable in advance on the first of the month. If the dog is left with us other than on the first of the month, training fees will be prorated for that month. For competition dogs, travel expenses and entry fees for the current month will be added to the following month’s bill. If you are training your dog yourself in training sessions 2 to 4 times a week, the fee is payable immediately after the session. *Field Training has been suspended until further notice. board and train your dog. When the dog reaches a particular stage
in its training, we require you to come as often as possible to learn how to handle your dog. YOUR training is included in this price. |
